The Czech company BLM Trucking was founded in July 2005 as a haulage company for customers in Denmark. In 2010, it began working exclusively with the international Danish company CONTINO TRANSPORT A/S. Today, BLM Trucking has 60 employees and owns 44 tractor units with tarpaulin trailers. The company does not specialise in any particular goods. Its trucks are on the road throughout Western Europe, but mainly in Germany and Denmark.

“For many years, we were purely a haulage company. Thanks to TIMOCOM, however, we have also been driving for Czech customers since 2018 and are making optimum use of our own vehicles. Freight management – placing and accepting transport orders

“While we were only driving for CONTINO TRANSPORT, we didn’t need to issue any orders. We had our internal communication system, billing was simple and we got by with shared Excel spreadsheets. When we started looking for a way to utilise our trucks independently, I received my first order from a German customer via the TIMOCOM freight network,” recalls Bokoč. “It was quick, convenient and easy. I realised that we didn’t need another costly system for awarding contracts either, given that our accounting programme did not offer a suitable format for entering the necessary information for transport orders.”

“I always create a transport offer first and then the transport order. You only need to enter the user ID and all the necessary data is inserted. Because all the applications are closely integrated, I save a lot of time and don’t have to enter the same data multiple times. The options for copying, creating templates and intelligent filling in mean I can enter all the order data in no time at all. The orders do not get lost in the flood of other emails and cannot end up in the spam folder. I can manage them centrally in one place in the Transport Orders application.”

“Another useful feature is that when I want to contact a client I worked with half a year ago and realise that they are no longer in the TIMOCOM network, I often find out they had a poor payment history and were excluded. Information about insolvencies, especially when it concerns foreign companies, is not guaranteed in my internal system. Language barriers are removed

Jan Bokoč appreciates this, too: “Sending the order automatically in the language of the business partner has removed all language barriers. I have no qualms about sending an order to a Bulgarian haulier. I know that the haulier will receive it in Cyrillic without me having to deal with the translation and incurring additional costs. This makes things much easier.”
